Appendix C: Cadstar Layer Sub Types
When using the option to map layers by sub type, the layer mapping grid does not contain information which states which sub type layer in CADSTAR maps to which layer in eCADSTAR. The following table lists the eCADSTAR names that are assigned to each CADSTAR sub type.
- -A indicates Top Layer
- -B indicates Bottom Layer
CADSTAR Layer Sub Type | eCADSTAR Layer Name |
---|---|
Assembly | Symbol-A (Symbol-B) |
Paste | MetalMask-A (MetalMask-B) |
Placement | CompArea-A (CompArea-B) |
Silkscreen | Symbol-A-1 (Symbol-B-1) |
Solder Resist | Resist-A (Resist-B) |
Note
The CADSTAR layer sub types for Clearance and Rout have no direct equivalent within eCADSTAR, and are migrated as User Defined layers.
