Arrange Components

In the Component Placement section, you will learn about the placement tools that are provided in eCADSTAR. These are all available to assist you in the design of your PCB. The following sections cover some of these tools.

Arrange Components

The arrange components feature is used to distribute components around the board outline.

Overview

• Select individual components by pressing the Shift key, pointing the cursor at them and clicking the mouse.
• Using the Arrange Components command, perform a cascading spread of components outside of the board outline.
• When components are placed inside of the board outline, they are considered “placed”.  While those outside of the board outline retain a status of “placed outside of board outline”.
