Net Class Manager Dialog

The Net Class Manager dialog allows you to create, rename or delete net classes, and add or remove nets from a selected net class. To display the dialog, click Edit > Net Class Manager in Constraint Browser. Alternatively, right-click the Net classes folder or a net class in the Classes/Groups tab in Constraint Browser, and select Net Class Manager on the assist menu.

Item   Description
Selection list to create/edit   Nets are displayed that are not members of a net class.
New Net Class   Allows you to create a unique name for a new net class. By default, the name of the net that you select in the Selection list to create/edit box is added to the Create Net Class box. Either type a new name or accept the suggested name.
  Create Creates a new net class that contains the nets that you select in the Selection list to create/edit box. A unique name must be provided in the Create Net Class box or this button is made unavailable. When you click Create, the new net class is moved to the Existing Net Classes box.
Existing net Classes   Displays all existing net classes, and allows you to add members, rename or delete a net class. Click a net class to display its members in the Member list box.
  Add to Net Class Adds a net that you select in the Selection list to create/edit box to a net class that is selected in the Existing Net Classes box (select multiple nets using the Ctrl and Shift keys). This button is made unavailable if a net is not selected in the Selection list to create/edit box.
  Rename Allows you to rename a net class that you select in the Existing Net Classes box. Alternatively, right-click a net class and select Rename. Enter a unique name and press Return.
  Delete Allows you to delete a net class that you select in the Existing Net Classes box. Alternatively, right-click a net class and select Delete.
Member list   For the net class that you select in the Existing Net Classes box, nets that are members are displayed.
  Remove from Net Class Removes the net that is selected in the Member list box from its associated net class. Alternatively, right-click a net in the Member list box and select Remove from Net Class on the assist menu. Select multiple nets using the CTRL or Shift keys.
Close   Closes the Net Class Manager dialog.
