Setting or Releasing a Net Class Reference

The following procedures describe how to set or release a reference to a net class in Constraint Browser.

• In eCADSTAR PCB Editor, launch Constraint Browser by clicking Design > Design Rules > Constraint Browser or Home > Design Rules > Constraint Browser on the ribbon.
• In eCADSTAR Schematic Editor, launch Constraint Browser by clicking Design > Browser > Constraint or Home > Browser > Constraint on the ribbon.

Setting a Net Class Reference

Set a reference to a net class for the net, as follows.

1. Click the Signals button, and then click the Signals tab. A tree, and a table of signals are displayed.
2. Click the E-Net on the signal tree and expand it to show the individual nets contained within it.
3. Select a target net. The target net is displayed in the signal table.
4. In the signal table, select the Signal Class tab, then click in the Net Class cell. The Net class dialog is displayed.
5. Select a target net class from the list in the Net class dialog, and click OK. The specified net class is displayed in the Net class cell in the signal table.

Releasing a Net Class Reference

Release a reference to a net class for the net, as follows.

1. Click the Signals button, and then click the Classes/Groups tab. The tree for class/group display is displayed.
2. Expand the Net Classes.
3. Expand the appropriate Net Class.
4. Click a net to be excluded from the net class, and click Exclude on the assist menu. The specified net is deleted from the tree.
