Scale by Area

The Scale by Area command allows you to create a drawing in which the area specified on the canvas is scaled (enlarged or reduced). Two functions are available: Rectangle and Circle.

Overview

1. In the Layer Settings panel, ensure that the appropriate layer is selected.
2. On the eCADSTAR PCB Editor ribbon, select either Draw > Scale by Area > Rectangle, or Draw > Scale by Area > Circle.
3. Set the Scale ratio, as required (a number greater than one magnifies the selected area; a number less than one reduces the selected area).
4. Drag the cursor over the selected area.
5. Click again. The created image will now be attached to the cursor. Clicking again releases the image at the chosen location.
