Rule Area Attributes
The Rule Area Attributes
dialog allows you to configure a rule area. It is displayed by selecting
Rule in the Area
Fill (Polygon), Area Fill (Rectangle)
or Area Fill (Circle) dialog,
and then clicking Detail. The values that
you specify for a rule area override the rules in the associated technology.

Track width stack

Differential pair rule stack
Value | Description |
---|
[Differential pair rule stack] | Select a track width and spacing rule for differential pair
routing that is valid in the rule area. These are created in the
Rule Editor

Default via name
Value | Description |
---|
Default Padstack | The default padstack set in the rule is referred to as the
default padstack for rule areas. |
String | Specify the default padstack name to be referred to in rule
areas. |
Target layer
Value | Description |
---|
All layers | The rule area is common to all layers. |
[Layer name] | The rule area is only valid for the specified layer. |
Conditional padstack
Value | | Description |

Conditional padstack table | | Allows you to select the padstacks that are used between the
layers that you specify. For each padstack, specify the start
layer and end layer using the From
and To boxes, respectively. |
| From | Displays the start layer of the padstack (integer equal to
or greater than 1). |
| To | Displays the end layer of the padstack (integer equal to or
greater than From, but not
exceeding the number of conductor layers). |
| Name | For the relevant row in the Conditional
padstack table, the padstack is displayed that joins the
specified layers. Specify a padstack by clicking in this
box, and selecting it from the displayed list. |
From | | Specify the start layer of the padstack (integer equal to or
greater than 1). |
To | | Specify the end layer of the padstack (integer equal to or
greater than From, but not
exceeding the number of conductor layers). |
Add | | Adds a new row in the Conditional
padstack table using the From
and To values that you specify. |
