Adding and Deleting Report Generator User Reports

The following procedures describe how to add a Report Generator report to the eCADSTAR PCB Editor or eCADSTAR Schematic Editor ribbon. They also describe how to subsequently add them to the Quick Access Toolbar, and delete them.

Adding a Report to the User Menu

  1. Display the Add User Report dialog as follows.
  2. In eCADSTAR PCB Editor, click Report > User > Report Generator split button > Add User Report on the ribbon.
  3. In eCADSTAR Schematic Editor, click Report > User > PCB Report Generator split button > Add User Report on the ribbon.
  1. The Add User Report dialog is displayed.
  2. In the Add User Report dialog, Command Name box, specify the name of the User report or accept the default value.
  3. Click the button.
  4. In the displayed Open dialog, select a  a Report Generator parameter file (.prgx).
  5. In the Description box, optionally specify a user-friendly description of the command.
  6. Click OK. The specified report is added to the User menu in either eCADSTAR PCB Editor or eCADSTAR Schematic Editor. The Add User Report dialog is closed.

 

Note
You can also add a User report to a new tab on the ribbon using the Ribbon Setting dialog. This is displayed by right-clicking the ribbon or the status bar, and selecting Customize the Ribbon. Alternatively, select File > Configuration > Customize the Ribbon on the ribbon.

 

Adding a Report to the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT)

After you add a report to the User menu, you can subsequently add it to the Quick Access Toolbar as follows.

  1. In eCADSTAR Schematic Editor or eCADSTAR PCB Editor, add a report to the User menu by following the above procedure.
  2. Right click the Quick Access Toolbar on the ribbon and select Customize Quick Access Toolbar on the assist menu . Alternatively, right-click the ribbon or status bar and select Customize Quick Access Toolbar on the assist menu, or click File > Configuration >Customize Quick Access Toolbar on the ribbon. The Quick Access Toolbar Settings dialog is displayed.
  3. In the Quick Access Toolbar Settings dialog, left pane, select the relevant User report and click Add. It is moved to right pane.
  4. Click OK in the Quick Access Toolbar Settings dialog. The User report is added to the Quick Access Toolbar.

Deleting a User Report

Delete a User report from the Report > User menu on the eCADSTAR PCB Editor or eCADSTAR Schematic Editor ribbon as follows.

  1. Launch the User Command Settings dialog by clicking File > Configuration > User Command Settings on the ribbon. The User Command Settings dialog is displayed.
  2. In the dialog, select the relevant User report and click Delete.
  3. Click OK in the User Command Settings dialog. The User report is deleted from the Report > User menu on the ribbon in either eCADSTAR PCB Editor or eCADSTAR Schematic Editor.
