Save as Exports the settings that you specify in the Ribbon Settings dialog. Specify a file name in the Save As dialog and click Save. By default, the settings are saved in the ribbon.xml file.
Note
Settings specified in the dialog can be moved between different instances or versions of eCADSTAR, and between users.
Load Imports previously-exported settings from the Ribbon Settings dialog. This allows you to apply saved customizations to appropriate eCADSTAR applications, or share them with other users. In the displayed Open dialog, double-click the required .xml resource file. Alternatively, select it and click Open in the dialog. After removing duplicate items, the imported settings are merged with existing customizations. These settings are previewed in the Ribbon Settings dialog. Imported customizations are highlighted.
  • Click OK to apply the previewed settings to the ribbon.
  • Click Cancel to discard the previewed settings.
Note
  • If you load commands that were exported from a different eCADSTAR application, and are not applicable to the current application, then they are unselected and made unavailable. This is also done for commands that you load from a later release to one that does not support them.
  • If a group or tab contains only unsupported commands then it is also unselected and made unavailable. If only some of its commands are not supported, then its structure is maintained.
  • If a tab is made unavailable by importing settings in the dialog, then you cannot add any additional commands to it.
OK Saves the settings that you specify in the Ribbon Settings dialog, and closes the dialog. If you attempt to import unsupported commands, then a warning is shown in the Command Balloon.
Cancel Closes the Ribbon Settings dialog without saving your changes
