Adding and Deleting Macro Commands from the Quick Access Toolbar

The following procedures describe how to add and delete macro commands on the Quick Access Toolbar for the relevant eCADSTAR application.

Adding a Macro Command to the Macro Menu Button in the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT)

  1. If necessary, add the Macro Menu command to the Quick Access Toolbar using the drop down list on the right of this toolbar.
  2. In the Quick Access Toolbar, click the Macro Menu split button and select the Add Macro command. The Add Macro dialog is displayed.
  3. In the Add Macro dialog, Command Name box, specify the name of the macro file or accept the default value.
  4. Click the button.
  5. In the displayed Open dialog, select a macro file (.txt).
  6. In the Description box, optionally specify a user-friendly description of the macro command.
  7. Click OK. The specified macro file is added to the Macro Menu button for the relevant eCADSTAR application. The Add Macro dialog is closed.

Adding a Macro Command to the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT)

After you add a macro command to the Macro Menu button in the relevant eCADSTAR application, you can subsequently add it directly to the Quick Access Toolbar as follows.

  1. In eCADSTAR, add a macro command to the Macro Menu button by following the above procedure.
  2. Right click the Quick Access Toolbar on the ribbon and select Customize Quick Access Toolbar on the assist menu . Alternatively, right-click the ribbon or status bar and select Customize Quick Access Toolbar on the assist menu, or click File > Configuration >Customize Quick Access Toolbar on the ribbon. The Quick Access Toolbar Settings dialog is displayed.
  3. In the Quick Access Toolbar Settings dialog, left pane, select the relevant macro command and click Add. It is moved to right pane.
  4. Click OK in the Quick Access Toolbar Settings dialog. The macro command is added to the Quick Access Toolbar.

 

Note
You can also add a macro command to a new tab on the ribbon using the Ribbon Setting dialog. This is displayed by right-clicking the ribbon or the status bar, and selecting Customize the Ribbon. Alternatively, select File > Configuration > Customize the Ribbon on the ribbon.

 

Deleting a Macro Command

Delete a macro command from the Quick Access Toolbar in the relevant eCADSTAR application as follows.

  1. Launch the User Command Settings dialog by clicking File > Configuration > User Command Settings on the ribbon. The User Command Settings dialog is displayed.
  2. In the dialog, select the relevant macro command and click Delete.
  3. Click OK in the User Command Settings dialog. The macro command is deleted in the Quick Access Toolbar for the relevant eCADSTAR application.
