Adding or Excluding Members of a Differential Pair Class
The following procedures describe how to add or exclude members of a differential pair class in Constraint Browser.
- In eCADSTAR PCB Editor, launch Constraint Browser by clicking Design > Design Rules > Constraint Browser or Home > Design Rules > Constraint Browser on the ribbon.
- In eCADSTAR Schematic Editor, launch Constraint Browser by clicking Design > Browser > Constraint or Home > Browser > Constraint on the ribbon.
Adding a Member of a Differential Pair Class
- In Constraint Browser, click the Signals button, and then select the Signals tab. The Signals tree is displayed.
- In the Signals tree, ensure that differential pairs are displayed. To create a differential pair, see Creating or Releasing a Differential Pair.
- In Constraint Browser, click Edit > Differential Pair Class Manager. The Differential Pair Class Manager dialog is displayed.
- In the Differential Pair Class Manager dialog, create a new differential pair class by selecting a differential pair and clicking Create below the Create Differential Pair Class box. The new differential pair class is displayed in the Existing Differential Pair Classes box. By default, the name of the specified differential pair is used for the differential pair class.
- In the Selection list to create/edit box, select a differential pair to add to the differential pair class that you created. The Add to Diff Pair Class button becomes available.
- Click the newly-created differential pair class in the Existing Differential Pair Classes box, and click Add to Diff Pair Class. The differential pair is added to the selected differential pair class. It is no longer displayed in the Selection list to create/edit box.
- In the Differential Pair Class Manager dialog, click Close.
Excluding a Member of a Differential Pair Class
- In Constraint Browser, click Edit > Differential Pair Class Manager. The Differential Pair Class Manager dialog is displayed.
- In the Existing Differential Pair Classes box, click a differential pair class. Its members are displayed in the Member list box.
- In the Member list box, right-click a differential pair and select Remove from Diff Pair Class on the assist menu. The differential pair is removed from the selected differential pair class. It is moved to the Selection list to create/edit box.
- In the Differential Pair Class Manager dialog, click Close.
