Creating, Renaming or Deleting Clearance Classes

The following procedures describe how to create, rename or delete clearance classes in the Clearance Class Manager dialog. This dialog is launched from Constraint Browser for eCADSTAR PCB Editor. Launch Constraint Browser by clicking Design > Design Rules > Constraint Browser or Home > Design Rules > Constraint Browser on the ribbon.

Creating Clearance Classes

1. In Constraint Browser, click Utility >Clearance Class Manager. The Clearance Class Manager dialog is displayed.
2. In the New clearance class name box, enter multiple clearance class names, separated by spaces and click Create. The new clearance classes are displayed in the Clearance Class box.

Renaming Clearance Classes

1. In Constraint Browser, click Utility >Clearance Class Manager. The Clearance Class Manager dialog is displayed.
2. In the Clearance Class box, right-click a clearance class and select Rename on the assist menu. Alternatively, select it and click the Rename button.
3. Enter a new name and press Return. The specified clearance class is renamed.

Deleting Clearance Classes

1. In Constraint Browser, click Utility >Clearance Class Manager. The Clearance Class Manager dialog is displayed.
2. In the Clearance Class box, right-click a clearance class and select Delete on the assist menu. Alternatively, select it and click the Delete button. The specified clearance class is deleted.
