Rule Stack Dialog

The Rule Stack dialog allows you to select a rule stack from the current Rule library in eCADSTAR Schematic Editor or eCADSTAR PCB Editor. When launched from Constraint Browser for eCADSTAR Schematic Editor, additional fields are shown, which are described below. You can filter the items listed in the dialog by adding an alphanumeric value in the Filter box. In Constraint Browser for eCADSTAR Schematic Editor, you can also filter them first by the number of the layers, and then specify whether to show rule stacks from the design or from the current library.

Launch this dialog from the Constraint Browser: Signals section, Signals tab or Constraint Browser: Signals section, Classes/Groups tab by pointing the cursor in the following columns and clicking the displayed button. The name of the dialog is dependent on the column from which it is launched.

When Launched from Constraint Browser for eCADSTAR Schematic Editor

The following fields are displayed when you launch this dialog from Constraint Browser for eCADSTAR Schematic Editor.

Description

Design rule   Allows you to filter the results displayed in the Rule stack box. You can filter them first by the number of the layers, and then specify whether to show either rule stacks already in the design or those from the current library.
  Number of layers Rule stacks are listed in the Design rule box that are defined in the library for the specified number of layers. To list all rule stacks defined in the library, select All.
  Design rule Lists the layer stacks defined in the library that have the number of layers selected in the Number of layers box. You can select Values in design to show rule stacks that are already used in the open design, or select one of the listed rule stacks. The results are displayed in the Rule stack box.
Filter   Allows you to filter the rule stacks that are displayed in the Rule stack box by entering an alphanumeric value. This value is not case-sensitive.
Rule stack box   Displays the rule stacks that meet the requirements specified in the Design rule section and Filter box. To select a rule stack, double-click it. Alternatively, click it and then click OK. It is added to the Constraint Browser column from which this dialog is launched.
OK   The rule stack that you select in the Rule stack box is added to the Constraint Browser column from which this dialog is launched. The Rule Stack dialog is closed.
Cancel   Closes the Rule Stack dialog without adding a rule stack to Constraint Browser.

The following fields are displayed when you launch this dialog from Constraint Browser for eCADSTAR PCB Editor.
