Clearance Class Dialog

For a signal that you select on the canvas in eCADSTAR Schematic Editor or Symbol Editor, the Clearance Class dialog allows you to assign a clearance class. You can select multiple signals to assign a clearance class to them. To launch this dialog:

  1. On the canvas in eCADSTAR Schematic Editor, select a signal.
  2. In the Properties Panel, point the cursor in the Clearance Class row. The button is displayed.
  3. Click to launch the Clearance Class dialog.

Note
  • You can also specify clearance classes in the Clearance Class Dialog that is launched from the Clearance Class column in the Design Rule Tab in Constraint Browser: Signals Section, Signals Tab.
  • If the Clearance Class dialog is launched from the Properties Panel, then Constraint Browser is also launched, in a minimized state. It is not displayed unless you select it from the Windows task bar. When the Clearance Class dialog is closed, Constraint Browser is also closed.
  • If a design is accessed by multiple users and one or more sheets is opened by another user, then Constraint Browser cannot be launched, and an error message is displayed.
  • The Properties Panel does not show inheritance of clearance classes. For example, a clearance class that is specified for an E-Net is not shown if a net is selected that is associated with it.
