Output (IPC-D-356A) Dialog

The Output (IPC-D-356A) dialog allows you to output IPC-D-356A data from a design in order to transmit information to a manufacturing or assembly facility. The parameters in the dialog can be imported from a file, and saved from the dialog to a file. The Output (IPC-D-356A) dialog is displayed by clicking Manufacture > Manufacture Output > IPC-D-356A on the ribbon.

Item   Description
Import parameters   Allows you to import parameters to this dialog by selecting a parameter file in the Open dialog and clicking Open.
Export parameters   Allows you to save the parameters that you set in this dialog by specifying a location and file name in the Save As dialog, and clicking Save.
Output path   Displays the path to the IPC-D-356A file that is exported.
Specify the location and name of the exported file in the displayed Save as dialog, and click Save.
Sort Mode   Allows you to order the exported data by net or component.
Net The exported data is ordered alphabetically by net.
Component The exported data is ordered alphabetically by component.
Angle   Specify the units of measurement for angles.
Degrees Angles are exported in degrees.
Radians Angles are exported in radians.
Unit   Specify the units for the IPC-D-356A data that is exported.
mm If selected, the IPC-D-356A data is exported in millimeters.
Inches If selected, the IPC-D-356A data is exported in inches.
Net Prefix   Specify a prefix of up to three digits. This value is only exported if the existing net value is over 14 characters long.
Ref Prefix   Specify a prefix of up to three digits. This value is only exported if the existing component value is over 6 characters long.
Tolerance   Specify the precision that is used to represent curves in routing patterns. Values can be set from 0.00001 (high precision) to 200 (low precision).
Vias   Details are exported for vias that are not part of components.
Test Points   Details for testpoints are exported.
Routing Pattern   Details for routing patterns are exported. The curves in the routing patterns are represented using the level of precision specified in the Tolerance box.
Execute   Outputs IPC-D-356A data from a design using the values specified in the Output (IPC-D-356A) dialog.
Exit   Closes the Output (IPC-D-356A) dialog without exporting IPC-D-356A data.
