Exporting IPC-D-356A Data
The following procedures describe how to export IPC-D-356A data from a design, export parameters from the Output (IPC-D-356A) dialog, import parameters from a file to the Output (IPC-D-356A) dialog, and save specified parameters to a file. The IPC-D-356A format is used.
Exporting IPC-D-356A Data
Export IPC-D-356A data from a design as follows.
- On the ribbon, click Manufacture
> Manufacture Output >
IPC-D-356A. The Output (IPC-D-356A) dialog is displayed.
- In the Output box, specify the location to output the IPC-D-356A file to. If the ".356" file extension is not specified, then it is added automatically.
- In the Sort Mode box, select the order in which the exported data is sorted.
- In the Angle box, select the units of measurement for angles.
- In the Unit box, select the output units.
- In the Net Prefix box, specify a prefix of up to three digits.
- In the Ref Prefix box, specify a prefix of up to three digits.
- In the Tolerance box, specify the precision that is used to represent curves in routing patterns. Values from 0.00001 (high precision) to 200 (low precision) can be set.
- Select Via to export details for vias that are not part of components.
- Select Test Points to export details for test points.
- Select Routing Pattern to export details for routing patterns, using the level of precision specified in the Tolerance box.
- Click Execute to start the export.
- Click Exit to close the Output (IPC-D-356A) dialog.
Importing Parameters to the Output (IPC-D-356A) Dialog
Importing Parameters to the Output (IPC-D-356A) Dialog
- Parameters that are stored in a file can be loaded into the Output (IPC-D-356A) dialog as follows.
- Click Import parameters in the Output (IPC-D-356A) dialog. The Open dialog is displayed.
- In the Open dialog, select a parameter file and click Open. The parameters in the selected file are set in the Output (IPC-D-356A) dialog.
Exporting Parameters from the Output (IPC-D-356A) Dialog
The parameters that are set in the Output (IPC-D-356A) dialog allows you to export parameters to a file as follows.
- Set the parameters in the Output (IPC-D-356A) dialog.
- Click Export parameters. The Save As dialog is displayed.
- In the Save As dialog, set the location and file name for the exported file and click Save. The parameters are saved to the specified file.
