Moving the Origin in Footprint Editor

The Move Origin command allows you to move the origin of a footprint in Footprint Editor. This command  is only available in 2D View mode. To toggle the display of the board origin mark, see: Displaying the Scale and Board Origin Mark.

Moving the Origin

Move the origin of a footprint as follows:

1. On the Footprint Editor ribbon, click Footprint > Settings > Move Origin.
2. Click any position on the canvas. The origin of the footprint is moved to the specified position.
