Assist Menu
You can select the following items by right-clicking when running a command in Footprint Editor. For menu items with the same name, but whose operation varies, refer to items identified with "For xxx".
Apply
The Apply command applies the parameters that you specify. If applicable, the relevant process is executed using the specified parameters.
End Shape
Ends the current operation. The relevant command continues to run.
End Dimension
Ends the current operation. The relevant command continues to run.
End Reshape
Ends the current operation. The relevant command continues to run.
Execute
The relevant process is executed using the set parameters.
Another
After a section is specified, the section to edit is changed to the section on the other side. This option is available when an area fill or area is specified. If an arc is input, then the rotation direction of the arc is reversed.
Flip Horizontally
Flips the component about the Y-axis before placing it. The reference point is the axis.
Flip Vertically
Flips the component about the X-axis before placing it. The reference point is the axis.
Drag Reference Point (Vertex)
The drag reference point is changed to a vertex of the specified object. The vertex closest to the specified point becomes the reference point. In Snap mode, the specified point becomes the reference point.
Drag Reference Point (Point)
The drag reference point is changed to the specified object.
Drag Reference Point (Center)
The drag reference point is changed to the center of the specified object. In Snap mode, the specified point becomes the reference point.
Insert Arc
An arc is set as the shape to be input.
Center Point of Arc
The center point of a circle or an arc that can be extracted from a 3D model is displayed, and the specified point is assumed to be the drag reference point.
Finish (During data selection)
The data for the active operation is applied, if allowed, or a warning message is shown. The relevant command is terminated.
Apply
The specified parameters are applied. If applicable, the relevant process is executed using the set parameters.
Rotate 90
The object is rotated around the reference point by 90 degrees.
Cancel
The command is terminated without applying any changes that you make in the associated dialog.
Select Section
Selectable objects are limited to sections.
Section (Specify by Area)
Value | Description |
---|---|
ON | Lines and padstacks are deleted within the specified area. |
OFF | Selected objects are deleted. |
Input Coordinates
The Input Coordinates Dialog is displayed.
Next
The current selection is canceled, and the next candidate is selected.
Execute
The process is executed using the specified parameters.
Rotate by Specified Angle (For Move/Duplicate/Paste from Clipboard)
The dragged object is rotated around the drag reference point. The rotation angle is the value for Angle of rotation, on the command dialog.
Rotate by Specified Angle (For Text)
The characters being input are rotated.
Placement Machine
The current placement machine can be changed. Select the name of a placement machine from the submenu.
Exit
Exits the command that is being run.
Parallel to Dimension
The dimension text is rotated to make it parallel to the dimension line.
Vertical to Dimension
The dimension text is rotated to make it vertical to the dimension line.
Selection End
When selecting multiple items using the Ctrl key, click Selection End on the context menu to indicate that you have selected the final item. Alternatively, double-click the final item.
Move to Other Layer
The Move To dialog is displayed, and allows you to select the destination layer.
Copy to Other Layer...
The Copy To dialog is displayed, and allows you to select the destination layer.
Relative Distance (2 Points)
Set the move distance by specifying two points. Set a vector as follows:
- The first point specified on the canvas defines the start point.
- The second point defines the end point.
Always Horizontal
Sets the angle for the dimension text attributes to horizontal.
Always Vertical
Sets the angle for the dimension text attributes to vertical.
Drag Reference Point
Changes the drag reference point when moving a 3D model.
Origin
The local origin of the 3D model is assumed to be the drag reference point.
Vertices
The vertices of the 3D model are displayed, and the specified point is assumed to be the drag reference point.
Bounding Box
Points are displayed in the vertices and the center point of a bounding box that encloses a 3D model, and the center point of the surface that configures a bounding box. The specified point is assumed to be the drag reference point.
Center Point of Polygon
Points are displayed in the center point of a polygon that is extracted from the coordinates of the vertices of the 3D model. The specified point is assumed to be the drag reference point.
Flip
For the reference point that is specified for a 3D model using the Align 3D Model command, this command flips the coordinate axis.
Rotate 270
The object is rotated around the reference point by 270 degrees.
Text mode
Rotate 180
The object is rotated around the reference point by 180 degrees.
Another Section
The section to edit is changed to the section on the other side. This option is available when an area fill or area is specified.
Specify Center of Comp. Area
The origin is moved to the center of the component area.
Closed Line
To create a line for a closed object, a straight line is generated that connects the start and end points.
Switch Leader Dimension
Toggles between available and unavailable for dimension text.
Undo
Reverses the effects of the last operation that is executed.
Delete All Measures
All measures displayed on the canvas are deleted.
Delete Single Measure
Select a single measure on the canvas to delete it.
By Line
When Figure to subtract is set to Input shape, lines are input as shapes.
Select by Line
Input a line, and select only the following objects that are in contact with it.
