Subtract
The Subtract command
allows you to remove specified shapes from an object. It is executed by
clicking on the Footprint Editor ribbon. The
shapes that are removed can be specified by selecting objects that overlap
the relevant object, or by drawing a shape. This command is only
available in 2D View mode.

Selected shape

If selected, you can specify the shape that is removed by selecting
an object that overlaps the relevant object on the canvas. The
corners of the shape that is removed are automatically filleted.
Multiple objects can be selected using the Ctrl
key.
- When selecting multiple objects to subtract
from, click Selection
End on the assist menu or double-click the last shape
that you want to select.
- When selecting multiple objects to subtract,
click on the assist
menu or on the Subtract dialog.

Input shape
|
If selected, you can specify the shape that is removed by drawing
it on the canvas. Areas that are common to both objects are removed. |

Subtract spacing

Real number equal to or greater than 0. |
Specify the spacing between the figure to be subtracted, and
the figure from which it is subtracted. This value is only applicable
when Selected shape is specified
in the Figure to subtract box. |

If Selected shape is specified
in the Figure to subtract box, the
Apply button is made available
when multiple shapes to subtract are selected using the Ctrl key. When you click Apply,
the specified shapes are removed. The Subtract
dialog remains open. |

removing specified shapes. |
