Cross Reference

For non-hierarchical designs, the Cross Reference dialog allows you to define the default format of the labels that show the connected sheets for a sheet connector. These are displayed on the canvas in the Property Viewer, illustrated below.

Launch this dialog by clicking Sheet > Label > Cross Reference on the ribbon in eCADSTAR Schematic Editor. You must execute the Cross Reference command to display this Property Viewer for a newly-added sheet connector.

Note
To display this Property Viewer on the canvas for a sheet connector:
  1. On the canvas, select a sheet connector that is used to connect the sheet to another sheet.
  2. Right-click the XY location label row in the Properties Panel and select Display Viewer on the assist menu. The Property Viewer is displayed in the specified format.

Value   Description
Item Separator   If a sheet connector links to multiple sheets, then the character that you specify is displayed between each linked sheet in the Property Viewer on the canvas. It is also displayed in the XY location label field in the Properties Panel. Specify a single alphanumeric character.
Field Separator   Allows you to specify the character that is displayed between the sheet number and the zone value in the Property Viewer. It is also displayed in the XY location label field in the Properties Panel. Specify a single alphanumeric character.
Note
  • Zones define areas of a sheet, based on their X and Y location.
  • The specified character cannot be the same as the Item Separator character.
Suppress leading zeros in Sheet Number   Allows you to specify whether any leading zeros in the sheet number are displayed on the schematic and in the Property Viewer and the XY location label field in the Properties Panel.
Selected Leading zeros in the sheet number are not displayed on the schematic and in the Property Viewer or the XY location label field in the Properties Panel.
Not selected Leading zeros in the sheet number are displayed on the schematic and in the Property Viewer and the XY location label field in the Properties Panel.

Note
If you change the Exclude 'I' and 'O' setting in the Design Environment, Zone tab, then execute the Cross Reference command to ensure that zone details are updated for existing sheet connector labels.
