Default Grids

The Default Grids dialog allows you to specify the default grids which can be displayed on the canvas in Footprint Editor. It is accessed by clicking Design > Settings > Grids on the Footprint Editor ribbon. The grids that you specify can be displayed on the canvas by clicking Grid in the Grid Settings dialog, Select Grid Preset column. Select the required grid in the displayed Select Grid Preset dialog.

Item		Description
Grid name		Type the name of a new grid and click Add. The new grid is appended to the Grids table.
Add		Adds a new grid to the Grids table by appending the grid name specified in the Grid name box.
Grids table		Lists the default grids that can be displayed on the canvas, and allows you to edit their pitch.
	Grid name	Displays the read-only value for the name of the grid.
	Pitch	Displays the pitch of the associated grid, and allows you to change it by typing in a new value. X: the X value for the pitch of the associated grid. Y: the Y value for the pitch of the associated grid.
Delete		Deletes the grid that you select in the Grids table. Select multiple grids using the Ctrl or Shift keys.
OK		Saves your changes in the Default Grids dialog and closes the dialog.
Cancel		Closes the Default Grids dialog without saving your changes.
Apply		Saves your changes in the Default Grids dialog. The dialog remains open.
