Creating Hole Drawing Symbols

The following procedure describes how to create hole drawing symbols for holes. A hole drawing list can also be created at the same time, and shown on the canvas.

  1. On the ribbon, click Draw > Hole > Hole Drawing Hole Drawing. The Hole Drawing dialog is displayed. This command is only available in 2D View mode.
  2. Data for all holes on the board are shown in the Hole Drawing Table tab. In this tab, specify the text and associated layer for the symbols that are created.
  3. If required, change the position of a selected column in the Hole Drawing Table tab using the following buttons.

Leftmost: moves a selected column to the leftmost position in the table.

Left: moves a selected column one position to the left in the table.

Right: moves a selected column one position to the right in the table.

Rightmost: moves a selected column to the rightmost position in the table.

  1. In the Other Settings tab, configure hole drawing symbols and the hole drawing list.
  2. Click OK in the Hole Drawing dialog.
  3. The displayed Reference dialog shows the number of symbols created for hole drawings, and the holes for which symbols are not created.
  4. The specified symbols are created, and shown on the canvas.
  5. If Create list is selected in the Other Settings tab, then a hole drawing list is created and shown on the canvas.
