Chamfer Route

The Chamfer Route command allows you to chamfer the corners of a selected track. It is executed by clicking Net / Route > Routing > Chamfer Route on the eCADSTAR PCB Editor ribbon.

Command dialog

Maximum cut

Value Description
Real number greater than 0. For the vertex to be chamfered, specify the distance from the vertex to the start of the chamfer.

Minimum cut

Value Description
Real number equal to or greater than 0. If the distance from the vertex to be chamfered is equal to, or smaller than the specified value, then the Chamfer command is not executed.

Thermal relief

Value   Description
ON   In the same net as the area to be generated: the subtract process is executed on pins, vias and padstacks in components. This generates thermal lines.
OFF   In the same net as the area to be generated: the subtract process is not executed on pins, vias or padstacks in components.
  Settings Displays the Design Settings dialog. This dialog allows you to set the thermal relief values which are shared between multiple commands.

Subtract parameter

Value Description
Defaults Displays the Design Settings dialog. This dialog allows you to set the Subtract parameter values which are shared between multiple commands.

 

Value Description
Apply The corners of the selected track are chamfered. The Chamfer Route dialog remains open.
Exit Closes the Chamfer Route dialog without chamfering the corners of a track.
