The following procedure describes how to import layer view sets that have been exported from eCADSTAR. You can specify that the imported layer set either replaces the layer set in the active design data, or is appended to it.
- On the ribbon, click Design
> Import >
Layer Set. The Import
(Layer Set) dialog is displayed. - In the Layer Set file box, select the layer set file to be imported.
- If you select Clear Layer Set list before importing, then the layer sets are removed that are listed in the Layer Settings Panel and they are replaced with those defined in the imported file. If this box is not selected, then the layer sets in the imported file are appended to the existing layer sets in the Layer Settings Panel.
- Click Execute in the Import (Layer Set) dialog to import the layer sets to the active design data.
Note
- If Clear Layer Set list before importing is not selected, and you import an item with the same name as an existing item in the layer set, then a confirmation dialog is displayed. Click Yes in the dialog to overwrite the existing file.
- If an active layer is not specified in the imported layer set, then the active layer of the current design is not changed.
