The active layer view settings are exported to a .xml file. Layer view settings refer to all information that can be set in Layer Set in the Layer Settings panel in Footprint Editor.
- On the ribbon, click Design
> Export >
Layer Set. The Save As dialog is displayed. - In the Save As dialog, select a folder to export the layer view settings to. Enter a file name and click Save. By default, the layer view settings are exported to the location of the currently-open library using the name layerset.xml. The file can be exported with any XML filename.
The following information is exported to the layer view settings file:
- All layer view settings.
- Active layer for each layer view setting.
- Reference to layer in each layer view setting.
- Whether the layer in each layer view setting is selectable.
- Layer view styles of each layer view setting. This includes the color, transparency, hatch pitch, hatch angle, tone, style in 3D view and transparency in 3D view.
