Adding a Diameter or Radius Dimension Line
The following procedures describe how to add a diameter or radius dimension line to a specified layer. You must set this layer before adding the dimension.
Adding a Dimension Line (Diameter)
Add a diameter dimension line to a circle or semicircle object.
- On the ribbon, click Home
> Dimension > Add >
Diameter. Alternatively, click Draw > Dimension Line >
Diameter.
- Click the Defaults button next to Dimension text attributes and set the Layer for Dimension in the Layer name box.
- In the table in the Layer
View section, click the
Active column of the name of the layer that you want to set to the active layer.
- Specify a circle or semicircle object to add the dimension line. The dimension line is applied.
Target objects
The following are valid target objects.
- Line
- Area fill
- Component area
- Pad
- Padstack
- Round hole
- Slot hole

The following items can be selected by right-clicking the mouse.

- A pad for area fill or line can only be selected when it contains one arc.
- If a pad contains multiple figures, then any of them could be selected.
