Rule Editor Dialog: Grids Tab

The contents of the Grids tab in the Rule Editor dialog are described below. This tab allows you to create multiple grids with different X and Y pitches, and to set active grids for various areas of the board. A separate active grid is used, by default, for tracks, vias, placing components and for designing non-conductor figures and objects.

Default grid

Allows you to select the grid that is used, by default, for tracks, vias, placing components and for designing non-conductor figures and objects. A grid must be selected in each box.

Item Description
Track grid Select the grid for pattern designing.
Via grid Select the grid for entering vias.
Placement grid Select the grid for placing components.
Non conductor grid Select the grid for designing non-conductor figures and objects.
