Attributes Dialog

The Attributes dialog allows you to add an attribute to the corresponding area in Constraint Browser. Display the Attributes dialog by right-clicking in the Customize Table Configuration dialog, Edit table configuration table, and selecting Add Attribute on the assist menu.

• In eCADSTAR PCB Editor, launch Constraint Browser by clicking Design > Design Rules > Constraint Browser or Home > Design Rules > Constraint Browser on the ribbon.
• In eCADSTAR Schematic Editor, launch Constraint Browser by clicking Design > Browser > Constraint or Home > Browser > Constraint on the ribbon.

Mode

This section allows you to display the system attributes or user defined attributes that are associated with the various modes in Constraint Browser. Filter the attributes that are displayed in this dialog by toggling the attributes buttons, and by using the Filter (Attribute label) box. For a list of the displayed attributes, see: Attribute List.

Item		Description
Signal		Select this mode to add System or User attributes that are associated with signals to the corresponding tab in Constraint Browser. Filter the attributes that are displayed by toggling the following attribute buttons, and entering a value in the Filter (Attribute label) box.
	Bus	This button is not available in Constraint Browser for eCADSTAR Schematic Editor. If selected, then the System or User attributes that are associated with busses are displayed in the Attributes table.
	Differential pair	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with differential pairs are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Differential Pair attributes.
	E-Net	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with E-Nets are displayed in the Attributes table. See: E-Net attributes.
	Net	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with nets are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Net attributes.
	Component	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with components are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Component attributes.
	Pin	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with component pins are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Pin attributes.
	Pin pair	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with pin pairs are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Pin Pair attributes.
Class/Group		Select this mode to add System or User attributes that are associated with classes and groups to the corresponding tab in Constraint Browser. Filter the attributes that are displayed by toggling the following attribute buttons, and entering a value in the Filter (Attribute label) box.
	Net class	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with net classes are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Net class attributes.
	E-Net class	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with E-Net classes are displayed in the Attributes table. See: E-Net class attributes.
	Differential pair class	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with differential pair classes  are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Differential pair class attributes.
	Net group	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with net groups are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Net group attributes.
	Differential pair	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with differential pairs are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Differential pair attributes.
	E-Net	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with E-Nets are displayed in the Attributes table. See: E-Net attributes.
	Net	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with nets are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Net attributes.
Skew Group		Select this mode to add System or User attributes to the corresponding tab in Constraint Browser, that are associated with Skew Groups and pin pairs. Filter the attributes that are displayed by toggling the following attribute buttons, and entering a value in the Filter (Attribute label) box. This mode is displayed only in a High Speed environment.
	Skew Group	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with Skew Groups are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Skew Group attributes.
	Pin Pair	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with pin pairs are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Pin pair attributes.
Component		Select this mode to add System or User attributes that are associated with components to the corresponding tab in Constraint Browser. Filter the attributes that are displayed by toggling the following attribute buttons, and entering a value in the Filter (Attribute label) box. This mode is not available in Constraint Browser for eCADSTAR Schematic Editor.
	Component	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with components are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Component attributes.
	Pin	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with component pins are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Pin attributes.
Part		Select this mode to add System or User attributes that are associated with parts to the corresponding tab in Constraint Browser. Filter the attributes that are displayed by toggling the following attribute buttons, and entering a value in the Filter (Attribute label) box. This mode is not available in Constraint Browser for eCADSTAR Schematic Editor.
	Part	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with parts are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Part attributes.
	Part pin	If selected, then System or User attributes that are associated with part pins are displayed in the Attributes table. See: Part pin attributes.
Filter (Attribute label)		Enter an alphanumeric string that is used to filter the attributes displayed in the Attributes table. This value is used to filter the contents of the Attribute label column.

Attributes table

The Attributes table displays the system attributes and user defined attributes associated with the attribute buttons that you toggle on in the Attributes dialog. Filter the displayed attributes by toggling the attribute buttons, and by adding a string in the Filter (Attribute label) box. For a list of the displayed attributes, see: Attribute List.

 

 

Item	Description
Display label	The display label that exists in the library for the library attribute.
Attribute label	The label associated with a library attribute.

 

Item	Description
Add	Adds a selected attribute to the Customize Table Configuration dialog (select multiple attributes using the Ctrl or Shift keys). The specified attributes are added to the corresponding tab in Constraint Browser.
Close	Closes the Attributes dialog without adding new attributes to the Customize Table Configuration dialog.
