For a topology template that you select in the Topology Template Manager dialog, Topology template section, the Create Pin Pair dialog allows you to create a pin pair. Launch this dialog by clicking Create Pin Pair on the assist menu in the Topology Template Manager dialog, Attributes table. Select the first and last pins in the pin pair by clicking them in the Tile Editor, in the Topology Template Manager dialog. The specified portion of the topology template is highlighted in the Tile Editor.

| First Pin | Select a node in the Tile Editor to specify the first pin in the pin pair. The selected node is shown by this field. You cannot select a transmission line. |
| Last Pin | Select a node in the Tile Editor to specify the last pin in the pin pair. The selected node is shown by this field. You cannot select a transmission line. |
| Transmission lines | Displays the transmission lines in the portion of the topology template that you specify in this dialog. |
| Reset | Removes the values in this dialog. Alternatively, right-click the pin pair in the Tile Editor and select Reset on the assist menu. If you attempt to create a pin pair that already exists, then clicking Reset allows you to select different pins for it. The Create Pin Pair dialog remains open. |
| Create | Creates a pin pair using the values that you specify in this dialog. Alternatively, right-click the pin pair in the Tile Editor and select Create Pin Pair on the assist menu. The new pin pair is added to the Topology Template Manager dialog, Topology template section. The Create Pin Pair dialog remains open. |
| Close | Closes the Create Pin Pair dialog. |
