Flipping an Object
The following procedure describes how to flip a selected object.
Executing the command with objects selected
- Select an object to be flipped.
- Click Home > Move

Flip Horizontally or Home > Move >
Flip Vertically on the eCADSTAR PCB Editor ribbon. The selected object is flipped.
- Click Finish on the assist menu.
Executing the command before selecting objects
- Click Home > Move
>
Flip Horizontally or Home > Move >
Flip Vertically on the eCADSTAR PCB Editor ribbon.
- Select an object to be flipped.
- Click Finish on the assist menu.

Select by Area on the eCADSTAR PCB Editor ribbon.
- On the canvas, specify the vertices of a polygonal area.
- Double-click the last vertex, or select Finish on the assist menu.
Target objects
The following are valid target objects.
- Line
- Area fill
- Meshplane
- Area
- Rule area
- Character
- Round hole
- Slot hole
- Hierarchy connector
- Board block area
- Cutout
- Virtual branch point
Assist menu
The following items can be selected by right-clicking the mouse:
Note
- The above commands are only available in 2D View mode.
- Carrying out an operation that mirrors a pad or padstack rotates it. See: Flipping a Pad or Padstack.
- A square line is only flipped if the angle of the segment after flipping is a multiple of 90 degrees.
- When a meshplane is flipped, it becomes an area fill.
- For a non-conductor layer, when a cutout of a meshplane is flipped, the meshplane becomes an area fill.
- Cutouts can only be moved to the inside of the area fill to which they belong. They cannot be moved to other area fills.
- No terminals can be selected or moved.
