Quick Access Toolbar Settings
The Quick Access Toolbar Settings dialog allows you to configure the to include frequently-used commands, and specify its position relative to the ribbon. The settings that you specify apply to all areas of the application (design data, design rule library and technology library). It is displayed by right-clicking the Quick Access Toolbar and selecting Customize Quick Access Toolbar on the assist menu . Alternatively, right-click the ribbon or status bar and select Customize Quick Access Toolbar on the assist menu, or click File > Configuration > Customize Quick Access Toolbar on the ribbon.

Select Command box | Lists the command classes from which you can select the commands that are added to the Quick Access Toolbar. | |
All Commands | Lists all commands in the application. You can filter the displayed items by adding a value in the Command filter box. | |
User Commands | Lists the commands that you add in the User Command Settings dialog. You can filter the displayed items by adding a value in the Command filter box. | |
[File] tab | Lists the commands on the File tab on the ribbon. You can filter the displayed items by adding a value in the Command filter box. | |
Home | Lists the commands on the Home tab on the ribbon when creating a new Design Rule Library. | |
Home | Lists the commands on the Home tab on the ribbon when creating a new Technology Library. | |
Command filter | Filters the items that are displayed in the Command box by only displaying commands that contain an entered value. See: Filtering Items in the Command list. | |
Command box | Lists the commands associated with the item selected in the Select Command box. The listed commands can be filtered using the Command filter box. | |

Adds a selected command from the Command
box to the Customize Quick Access Toolbar
box. The added command is displayed on the Customize
Quick Access Toolbar at the specified location. If a command
is not selected in the Command
box, this button is made unavailable.

Reset | Resets the contents of the Customize Quick Access Toolbar box so that only default commands are displayed, in the default order. |
Save as
Exports the settings that you specify in the Quick Access Toolbar Settings dialog. Specify a file name in the Save As dialog and click Save. By default, the settings are saved in the quickaccesstoolbar_custom.xml file.
You cannot import the exported file into the Quick Access Toolbar Settings dialog. However, any settings specified in the dialog can be moved between different instances or versions of eCADSTAR, and between users.
- In the %APPDATA% folder in Windows Explorer, locate the quickaccesstoolbar_custom.xml file for the relevant user. This contains the latest changes made in the Quick Access Toolbar Settings dialog.
- Copy the file, and replace the relevant instance in the %APPDATA% folder. The copied settings are added to the dialog.
OK
Saves the settings that you specify in the Quick Access Toolbar Settings dialog, and closes the dialog.
Cancel
Closes the Quick Access Toolbar Settings dialog without saving your changes.
