Reshape

Use the Reshape command in 2D View mode to edit lines, area fills and segments in an area or sections by specifying an appropriate path. Toggle on this command by clicking Shape > Reshape > Reshape Reshape on the eCADSTAR PCB Editor ribbon, and then clicking an object on the canvas. Alternatively, select an object on the canvas and then toggle this command. The command remains toggled on. This allows you to reshape other objects by clicking them on the canvas.

  • To accept your changes, click Finish on the assist menu or click the end point of the relevant section. Alternatively, press the Spacebar.
  • Toggle off this command by clicking it on the ribbon, pressing Esc on the keyboard or clicking Cancel on the assist menu.

Angle lock

Value Description
45-degree The angle between the sides of the object to be input is limited to 0, 45, 90, 135, 180, 225, 270 and 315 degrees.
90-degree The angle between the sides of the figure to be input is limited to 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees.
Free The angle between the sides of the object to be input is not locked.

Tangent arc

Value Description
ON A tangent arc with the radius specified in Radius of tangent arc is generated at the corner of an object.
OFF The vertex is placed at the corner of an object.

Radius of tangent arc

Value Description
Real number greater than 0. Set the radius of tangent arc to be generated.

Thermal relief

Value   Description
ON   In the same net as the area fill to be generated, the subtract process is executed on pins, vias, and padstacks in components to generate thermal lines.
OFF   The subtract process is not executed on pins, vias, and padstacks in components in the same net as the area fill to be generated.
  Settings Displays the Design Settings dialog. This allows you to set the thermal relief values which are shared between multiple commands.

Value Description

Line (Conductor)

Track width

Value Description
Real number greater than 0. Set the track width of the line to be input.

Tangent arc

Value Description
ON A tangent arc with the radius specified in Radius of tangent arc is generated at the corner of an object.
OFF The vertex is placed at the corner of an object.

Radius of tangent arc

Value Description
Real number greater than 0. Set the radius of tangent arc to be generated.

Line width

Value Description
Real number greater than 0. Set the width of the line to be input.

Value Description
Real number greater than 0. Set the radius of tangent arc to be generated.

 

Note
  • When editing the shape of an object, you can insert an arc by selecting Insert Arc on the assist menu.
  • To set a flag mark partially along a section, press the Shift key and click the required position.
  • If you specify a value for Angle lock in the Reshape dialog, then a circular mark is displayed when the cursor position satisfies the specified angle, or multiples of it.
