Move To
For an object that you select on the canvas, the Move To dialog allows you to move it to a
different layer. It is displayed by clicking Home
> Move > Layer on the eCADSTAR PCB Editor
ribbon, and then selecting an object to move on the canvas. Alternatively,
select an object to move on the canvas, click Home
> Move > Layer on the eCADSTAR PCB Editor
ribbon, and then click Apply in the Move (Layer) dialog. You can also display
the Move To dialog by right-clicking an
object on the canvas, and then selecting (Move
Layer) on the assist menu.

Active Layer | If selected, the selected object is moved to the active layer, and the Layer table is made unavailable. The active layer is shown in the Layer Settings panel, Active layer column. | |
Layer table | Lists the layers that are displayed in the Layer Settings panel. Click a row in the Layer table to specify the layer that the object is moved to, or select Active Layer to move it to the active layer. If Active Layer is selected, the Layer table is made unavailable. | |
Layer type | For a specified layer, this setting allows you to set whether the selected object is moved to the associated data layer or drawing layer. | |
Same | For the layer specified in the Layer table, the object that you select on the canvas is moved to the same layer type that it is currently associated with. | |
Data layer | For the layer specified in the Layer table, the object that you select on the canvas is moved to the associated data layer. | |
Drawing layer | For the layer specified in the Layer table, the object that you select on the canvas is moved to the associated drawing layer. | |
OK | Moves the selected object to the layer that you specify in the Layer table, or to the active layer if Active Layer is selected. The Move To dialog is closed. The Move (Layer) dialog remains open. |
