Bus Manager Dialog

The Bus Manager dialog allows you to create, rename or delete busses, and add or remove E-Nets from a selected bus in Constraint Browser for eCADSTAR PCB Editor. To display the dialog, select E-Nets or busses in the Signals tree in Constraint Browser, and click Bus Manager on the ribbon or click Edit >Bus Manager. Alternatively, right-click selected E-Nets or busses in the Signals tree and select Bus Manager.

 

 

Item		Description
Selection list to create/edit		When the Bus Manager dialog is launched, E-Nets are displayed that are not members of a bus. When you add an E-Net to a bus, it is moved from the Selection list to create/edit box to the Member list box. If the Bus Manager dialog is launched without first selecting E-Nets in Constraint Browser, all E-Nets are displayed that are not currently members of a bus. If the Bus Manager dialog is launched by right-clicking E-Nets in Constraint Browser and selecting Bus Manager on the assist menu, the selected E-Nets are displayed.
Create Bus		Allows you to assign a unique name to the new bus. A suggested name is created automatically using the common parts of the selected E-Net names. If no common parts exist, you must type a name in the Create Bus box.
	Create	Creates a new bus that contains the E-Nets selected in the Selection list to create/edit box. A unique name must be provided in the CreateBus box or the Create button is made unavailable. When you click Create, the new bus is moved to the Existing busses box.
Existing busses		Displays all existing busses, and allows you to add members to a bus, and rename and delete a bus. Click a bus to display its members in the Member list box.
	Add Selection to bus	Adds E-Nets that are selected in the Selection list to create/edit box to a selected bus in the Existing busses box. This button is made unavailable if an E-Net and an existing bus are not selected, or if an E-Net that is already a member of a bus is selected in the Selection list to create/edit box.
	Rename	Allows you to rename a selected bus in the Existing busses box. Alternatively, right-click a bus in the Existing busses box and select Rename. Enter a unique name and press Return.
	Delete	Allows you to delete a selected bus in the Existing busses box. Alternatively, right-click a bus in the Existing busses box and select Delete. The E-Nets that were members of the bus are moved to the Selection list to create/edit box in the Bus Manager.
Member list		Displays the E-Nets in the bus that is selected in the Existing busses box.
	Remove from bus	An E-Net that is selected in the Member list box is moved from the Member list box to the Selection list to create/edit box. Alternatively, right-click an E-Net in the Member list box and click Remove from bus on the assist menu. Select multiple E-Nets using the CTRL or Shift keys.
Close		Closes the Bus Manager dialog.
