Creating or Deleting Busses in Constraint Browser

The following procedures describe how to create or delete busses in Constraint Browser for eCADSTAR PCB Editor. Launch Constraint Browser by clicking Design > Design Rules > Constraint Browser or Home > Design Rules > Constraint Browser on the ribbon.

Creating Busses

1. In Constraint Browser, click Edit > Bus Manager. The Bus Manager dialog is displayed.
2. In the Selection list to create/edit field, select an E-Net to include as a bus member. Select multiple E-Nets using the Ctrl or Shift keys, or by dragging the mouse.
3. A suggested name for the bus is displayed in the Create Bus box. This value is created automatically, based on the common characters in each E-Net name.
4. Either accept the suggested name, or specify a new name in the Create Bus box.
5. If no common characters exist in the selected E-Net names, then a suggested name is not displayed.

3. Click Create below the Create Bus box. The specified bus is added to the Existing busses box, and the member E-Nets are displayed in the Member list box.

Deleting Busses

1. In Constraint Browser, click Edit > Bus Manager. The Bus Manager dialog is displayed.
2. In the Existing busses box, right-click a bus to be deleted and select Delete on the assist menu. Alternatively, click Delete below the Existing busses box. The specified bus is deleted from the Existing busses box.
