Drawing Rectangles

The following procedure describes how to draw a rectangle.

1. On the eCADSTAR Schematic Editor or Symbol Editor ribbon, click Home > Shape > Rectangle or Draw > Shape > Rectangle. The Add Rectangle dialog is displayed.
2. In the Add Rectangle dialog:
3. Set Tangent arc to ON to specify that the rectangle is created with rounded corners, or set this value to OFF to specify that it is created with square corners.
4. Set the color of the line by setting Specify Color to ON, and then clicking the Color box.
5. Select a value in the Line Type box.
6. Select a value in the Line Width box.

3. Click on the start point of the rectangle. A rectangular drag shape appears.
4. Click on the end point. A rectangle is placed on the canvas.
5. To finish drawing rectangles, click Cancel on the assist menu.
