Combine Components

The Combine Components dialog is launched automatically when the Copy Placement command is used to create a template. This is done by selecting an area on the canvas that contains components. The dialog shows the components in the template that you create, and suggests groups of unplaced components, or components that are placed outside of the board, that have the same placement and routing status as the selected components. You can modify the list of unplaced components in each column (channel) using the Specify Component dialog. This is launched by pointing the cursor in a cell and clicking the displayed button. When a channel is placed, it is made unavailable in this dialog.

Note
  • The Unplaced command allows you to set the status of a component to Unplaced. For guidance on adding an unplaced component to the canvas, see Placing Components.
  • You can manipulate the values in this dialog using the following assist menu commands, or associated keyboard shortcuts.
  • Cut (Ctrl+X)
  • Copy (Ctrl+C)
  • Paste (Ctrl+V)
  • Delete (Del)
  • Select multiple values by dragging the cursor in the table.
