Specify Component
The Specify Component dialog
is launched by pointing the cursor in a cell in the Combine
Components dialog and clicking the displayed
button. It allows you to specify unplaced components for individual template
components that you create in the Copy Placement
dialog. Unplaced components are shown in the Available
components table that match the search criteria that you specify.
Note
Unplaced components are components that are either unplaced, and not displayed on the canvas, or components that are placed outside of the board outline. Both of these items appear in the Available components table.

Template | Shows the part name and footprint of the template component that you select in the Combine Components dialog, in the following format: [Template component] ([Part] / [Footprint]) | |
Specify placed component | Allows you to select a matching unplaced component from the displayed list. | |
Current component | The component is displayed that is currently matched to the relevant template component in the Combine Components dialog. | |
Available components table | For the criteria that you select in the Matching
by box, available unplaced component are displayed. Select
a component by clicking it and then clicking OK.

Footprint preview box | When you select a row in the Available components table, an illustration is shown of the footprint of the relevant template component. | |
Matching by | Unplaced components are shown in the Available
components table for the specified criteria.

Show Part/Footprint name | For the unplaced components in the Available components table, this setting allows you to toggle the display of the part and footprint names. | |
OK | The unplaced component that you select in the Available components table is assigned to the selected template component in the Combine Components dialog. The Specify Component dialog is closed. | |
Cancel | Closes the Specify Component dialog without updating the Combine Components dialog. |
