Releasing Net Connections

The following procedures describe how the Disconnect command allows you to release existing connections for a pin, net, bus or intersection.

Executing the DisconnectCommand Before Selecting Objects

  1. Ensure that no objects are selected on the canvas.
  2. On the eCADSTAR Schematic Editor ribbon, click Home > Connect > Disconnect. A square appears at the tip of the cursor.
  3. For each connection to be released, align the square with it on the canvas and click it. A square is displayed over each position.
  4. Select Finish on the assist menu. The specified connections are released. If Unconnected pins and Net nodes is selected in the Display Settings, Marks section, in the Application Settings dialog, then the Unconnected pins and Net nodes mark is displayed on the canvas for the relevant item.

Executing the DisconnectCommand after Selecting Objects

  1. On the canvas, select an object for which you want to release a connection. Multiple objects can be selected using the Ctrl key.
  2. On the ribbon in eCADSTAR Schematic Editor, click Home > Connect > Disconnect. Connections are released for the selected objects. The specified connections are released. If Unconnected pins and Net nodes is selected in the Display Settings, Marks section, in the Application Settings dialog, then the Unconnected pins and Net nodes mark is displayed on the canvas for the relevant item.

You can also execute the Disconnect command by right-clicking a relevant object on the canvas and selecting Disconnect on the assist menu.
