Area Fill Polygon

The Area Fill Polygon command allows you to create a polygon shape with an area fill by drawing line segments. It is run by clicking Draw > Area Fill>Polygon on the eCADSTAR Schematic Editor or Symbol Editor ribbon.

Dialog

Item   Description
Angle Lock   Allows you to restrict the angle of lines to a specified value.
  Free Lines can be drawn at any angle.
  45-degree Lines can only be drawn at angles that are multiples of 45 degrees.
  90-degree Lines can only be drawn at angles that are multiples of 90 degrees.
Specify Color   Allows you to specify the line color of the polylines drawn for the polygon.
  ON If selected, the Color box is made available.
  OFF If selected, you cannot specify the line color of the polylines for the polygon shape, and the Color box is made unavailable.
Color   Click the Color box to select a color in the Select color dialog.
Line Type   Select the line type of the polylines by selecting it in the Line Type box, or select <DEF> to specify that the default value is used.
  • The values that are listed are set in the Line Type tab, in the Assignments Dialog.
  • The default Line Type value for polylines is set in the Line Type tab, Default Line Type section, Polyline box, in the Assignments Dialog.
Line Width   Select the line width of the polyline rectangle by selecting it in the Line Width box, or select <DEF> to specify that the default value is used.

  • The default Line Width value for polylines is set in the Line Width tab, Default Line Width section, Polyline box, in the Assignments Dialog.

 

Area Fill

Item   Description
Specify Color   Allows you to specify the color of the area fill.
  ON If selected, the Color box is made available.
  OFF If selected, you cannot specify the color of the area fill and this will be filled using the color specified in the Assignments Dialog, Display tab. The Fill color box is made unavailable.
Fill Color   Click the Fill color box to select a color in the Select color dialog.
Fill Style   Allows you to specify the fill style of the area fill.
  None Displays only the outline of the enclosed area.
  Solid If selected, the area fill will be completely filled with the color specified in the Fill color box if Specify color was set to ON, otherwise, the default color will be used.
