Select Net Label / Bus Label
The Select Net Label and Select Bus Label dialogs allow users to quickly and reliably choose a Net or Bus label based on the existing labels in the design. It is displayed by clicking the
button next to the Net label or Bus label control in the Add Net or Add Bus dialogs.

Selected items (start point)
|
Labels are displayed based on the star point of the net or bus. The table below defines the selected items and the expected displayed labels.

Whole Circuit
|
Labels are suggested based on the existing labels across the whole circuit.- If the target is a Net Label or Net Name (Part Name) (single-bit).
- Display net labels in the same hierarchical level and global net labels, filtered by object type ( see table below)
- Multi-bit names are expanded to single bit names.
- If the target is Bus label or Net Name (Part Name) (multi-bit).
- Display the bus label.
- Is in the same hierarchical level and global bus labels, filtered by object type ( see table below)

Filter

Enter part of the net or bus label you want to search for. Only labels that contain this string are displayed in the Label list.
To cancel filtering, delete the string in the Filter row.
Using the filter to search for keywords:

Performing AND and OR Searches in the filter row: - By entering multiple string, separated by a space or double-vertical bar (||), you can search for command names that contain any of the specified strings (OR search).
- By entering multiple strings separated by a double ampersand (&&), you can search for command names that contain all of the specified strings (AND search).
Note- Keywords are not case-sensitive.
- If an asterisk or question mark is used as part of a keyword, then only command names that match the keyword are displayed.

Label list
|

List of suggested net or bus labels, based on the Reference source and Filter. It is possible to double-click, to both select a value and OK the dialog.
Note- When the start node is a bus and the signal is already connected to the bus, it is displayed in bold..
- Net labels are displayed, not instance net labels.

|
The value selected in the Label list is assigned to the Net Label or Bus label field in the Add Net or Add Bus command panel. The dialog is then closed. |
Exit
|
|
Closes the dialog without assigning a value. |
