Assist Menu
The following items can be selected by right-clicking while a command is running in eCADSTAR Schematic Editor or Symbol Editor.
Apply
The Apply command applies the parameters that you specify. If applicable, the relevant process is executed using the specified parameters.
Cancel
The command is terminated without applying any changes that you make in the associated dialog.
Copy
The Copy command copies a selected object to the Cut buffer.
The following items cannot be copied using this command:
- Property Viewers.
- Component pins.
- Net nodes whose parent object is not a sheet.
Close Shape
When using the Add Polyline command, clicking Close Shape on the assist menu allows you to create a polygon. This ignores the Angle Lock setting.
Cut
The Cut command cuts a selected object and copies it to the clipboard.
The following items cannot be cut using this command.
- Property Viewers.
- Component pins.
- Net nodes whose parent object is not a sheet.
Delete
The Delete command deletes a selected object. The deleted objects are not copied to the clipboard.
Disconnect
The Disconnect command allows you to release existing connections for a pin, net, bus or intersection that you select on the canvas. You can also execute this command by clicking Home > Connect > Disconnect on the eCADSTAR Schematic Editor ribbon. If Unconnected pins and Net nodes is selected in the Display Settings, Marks section, in the Application Settings dialog, then the Unconnected pins and Net nodes mark is displayed on the canvas for the relevant item.
Exit
The Exit command applies your changes and terminates the command that is running.
Finish
The data for the active operation is applied, if allowed, or a warning message is shown. The relevant command is terminated.
Input Coordinate
The Input Coordinates Dialog is displayed.
Insert Arc
This command places an arc on a line or polyline.
Next
The current selection is canceled, and the next candidate is selected.
Paste
The Paste command pastes the contents of the clipboard.
Rotate
When pasting an object on the canvas, select Rotate on the assist menu to rotate the object by the value specified in the Rotation step box, in the Paste dialog.
Rotate 90
Rotates the object 90 degrees.
Rotate 270
Rotates the object 270 degrees.
Rotate Around Reference Point
This command rotates the relevant object around its reference point by the angle specified in the Rotate dialog.
Rotate by Specified Angle
This command rotates the relevant object by the angle specified in the Rotation step box. Specify this angle in the following commands.

Undo
The Undo command allows you to reverse the effects of the last operation that you execute.
Undo Step
The Undo Step command reverts the last change or action that is performed using the active command.
Redo
The Redo command re-executes the last operation that is executed.
Select All
The Select All command selects all the available content for the relevant context.
