Canvas Display Order Dialog

The Canvas Display Order dialog allows you to set the order that layers are displayed on the canvas. The higher in the list that the layer name appears, the more towards the front it is displayed on the canvas. Display the Canvas Display Order dialog as follows:

1. Toggle on the display of the Layer Settings panel by clicking View > Display > Layer Settings Panel on the ribbon. Alternatively click Layer Settings Panel on the status bar.
2. Right-click in the Layer View table, in the Layer Settings panel, and select Canvas Display Order. The Canvas Display Order dialog is displayed.

Method	Procedure
Conductor layer order	Sorts the layers in order of conductor layer. Clicking Conductor layer order again reverses the order of the conductor layers.
Layer type order	Sorts the layers in order of layer type. Clicking Layer type order again reverses the order of the layers that are shown within each layer type.
Layer box	Shows the layers in the design. This list can be sorted by clicking Conductor layer order or Layer type order.
Top	Moves the selected layer to the top of the Layer box.
Up	Moves the selected layer one place higher in the Layer box.
Down	Moves the selected layer one place lower in the Layer box.
Bottom	Moves the selected layer to the bottom of the Layer box.
OK	Closes the Canvas Display Order dialog. The layers are displayed on the canvas in the order that you specify.
Cancel	Closes the Canvas Display Order dialog without changing the order that the layers are displayed.
