Displaying the Grid

The following sections describe how to display the currently-referenced grid or via grid.

Displaying the Referenced Grid

The following procedure describes how to display the currently-referenced grid on the canvas.

  1. On the status bar, click the Snap GridSnap Grid split button. Alternatively, on the ribbon, click Design > Snap > Snap Grid Snap Grid.
  2. From the drop-down list, click Show GridShow Grid. The icon for Snap Grid can be Placement Snap Grid , Non-conductor Snap Grid , or Track Snap Grid .
  3. The currently-referenced grid is displayed on the canvas.

Displaying the Via Grid

The following procedure describes how to display the via grid on the canvas.

  1. On the status bar, click the Snap Via GridSnap Via Grid split button. Alternatively, on the ribbon, click Design > Snap > Snap Via Grid Snap Via Grid.
  2. From the drop-down list, click Show Via GridShow Via Grid. The via grid is displayed on the canvas.

 

Note
  • These commands are only available in 2D View mode.
  • If the active layer is a conductor layer, the routing grid is referenced. Otherwise, the non-conductor grid is referenced.
  • When a dragged component is displayed, the placement grid is referenced, regardless of the state of the active layer.
  • Show Grid and Show Via Grid can be toggled on or off.
