Undoing or Redoing Editing Operations on the Canvas
The following procedures describe how to use the Undo or Redo commands to return data to the state it was in before a command was executed.
Undoing Editing Operations on the Canvas
Revert edited data to its original state, as follows.
- On the ribbon, click Home
> Undo >
Undo or click
on the quick access toolbar. Alternatively, press Ctrl + Z. The data edited on the canvas reverts to the state it was in before editing.
While running the command, the command operation is undone. If the start of the command is undone, then the command exits.
The Redo command will not be available for the command operation that is undone by the Undo command. However, if the defined data has been undone by the Undo command, then it can be redone using the Redo command.
Redoing Editing Operations on the Canvas
Redo editing operations on data that were previously undone.
- On the ribbon, click Home
> Undo >
Redo or click
on the quick access toolbar. Alternatively, press Ctrl + Y. The data edited on the canvas reverts to the state before the undo operation was implemented.
