The Replace Pad with Area
command allows you to replace a pad shape, or a pad shape within a padstack,
with an overlapping area fill that you specify. After selecting pads or
padstacks, right-click and select 
Replace
Pad with Area on the assist menu. Alternatively, select pads or
padstacks and click Padstack > Pad/Padstack
> Replace Pad with Area on the eCADSTAR
PCB Editor ribbon. Multiple pads or padstacks can be selected.
This command is only available in 2D View
mode.

| Value | Description |
|---|---|
| ON | The overlapping area fill that you specify is deleted when the pad shape is replaced. |
| OFF | The overlapping area fill that you specify is not deleted when the pad shape is replaced. |
