Import (Layer Set)
The Import (Layer Set) dialog allows you to update the layer sets that are listed in the Layer Settings Panel in Footprint Editor. You can specify that existing layer sets are either replaced or appended to. Launch this command by clicking Design > Import > Layer Set on the Footprint Editor ribbon.

Layer Set file | Allows you to specify a layer set file that has been exported from eCADSTAR. Either type in the path to a .xml file, or browse to a file by clicking "...". | |
"..." | Allows you to browse to an exported layer set file by clicking "...". Specify a .xml file in the displayed Open dialog. | |
Clear Layer Set list before importing | Allows you to specify whether the imported layer sets replace the existing layer sets in the Layer Settings Panel, or are appended to them. | |
Selected | The layer sets are removed that are listed in the Layer Settings Panel, and they are replaced with those defined in the imported file. | |
Not Selected | The layer sets in the imported file are appended to the existing layer sets in the Layer Settings Panel. If you import an item with the same name as an existing item in the layer set, then a confirmation dialog is displayed. Click Yes in the dialog to overwrite the existing file. | |
Execute | The specified layer set file is imported and the Import (Layer Set) dialog is closed. If Clear Layer set before importing is not selected, and you import an item with the same name as an existing item in the layer set, then a confirmation dialog is displayed. Click Yes in the dialog to overwrite the existing file. | |
Cancel | Closes the Import (Layer Set) dialog without importing a layer set. |
Note
If an active layer is not specified in the imported layer set, then the active layer of the current design is not changed.
