Adding a Pad or Padstack

The following procedures describe how to add a pad or padstack.

Adding a Pad

Add a pad as follows.

On the ribbon, click Home > Padstack/Pad > Pad (alternatively, click Footprint > Padstack/Pad > Pad on the ribbon).
In the Pad name field of the command dialog, select the name of a pad from the drop-down list.
On the canvas, specify the position at which to add a pad. A pad is added in the specified position.

Add a padstack a follows.

On the ribbon, click Home > Padstack/Pad > Padstack (alternatively, click Footprint > Padstack/Pad > Padstack on the ribbon).
In the Padstack name field of the command dialog, select the name of the padstack from the drop-down list.
On the canvas, specify the position at which to add a padstack. The padstack is added in the specified position.
