The Symbols tab in the Library Editor panel in eCADSTAR Library Editor allows you to view the symbols in the library, and to change the symbol alternate for a symbol.
- The symbol name and alternate that are displayed can be filtered by entering a value in each <Filter> cell.
- Click a row in the Symbols tab to display the associated default symbol.

| Symbol Name | The name of the symbol. |
| Symbol Alternate | Displays the selected symbol alternate. If alternates exist for the symbol, they can be selected in the Symbol Alternate box. |
| Symbol preview | The default symbol is displayed in the Preview panel, at the right of the Symbols tab. |
