Displaying Constraints and Attributes of Signals

The following procedure describes how to display E-Nets, differential pairs, busses, and power and ground nets in Constraint Browser. For each item in the tree, constraints and attributes can be set or referred to.

  1. Launch Constraint Browser as follows:
  2. In eCADSTAR PCB Editor, click Design > Design Rules > Constraint Browser or Home > Design Rules > Constraint Browser on the ribbon.
  3. In eCADSTAR PCB Viewer, click Home > Design Rules > Constraint Viewer on the ribbon.
  4. In eCADSTAR Schematic Editor, click Design > Browser > Constraint or Home > Browser > Constraint on the ribbon.
  5. In eCADSTAR Schematic Viewer, click Home > Constraint Viewer > Constraint Viewer on the ribbon.
  1. In Constraint Browser, click the Signals button. The Signals and Classes/Groups tabs are displayed.
  2. Click the Signals tab. The Signals tree is displayed.
  3. Using the Filter box, reduce the number of signals that are displayed in the Signals tree.
  4. In the Signals tree, click an item for which constraints and attributes are set or referenced.
  1. Multiple items can be selected using the Ctrl or Shift key, or by dragging the cursor.
  2. For all currently-displayed items in the tree, click Select All to display them in the Signals table.
  3. Constraints and attributes of the selected item are displayed in the Signals table.
  1. Enter values in the Signals table cells. If an entered value is not valid, then the previous value is displayed.
