DC Sweep

The DC Sweep dialog allows you to set the conditions for DC analysis. The conditions set in this dialog are output as the .DC statements of the simulator. To make this dialog available, select DC Sweep in the Analysis Conditions dialog. Launch it by double-clicking an item in the DC Sweep folder in the SPICE Controller Manager, Analysis Tree, or by right-clicking it and selecting Open.

Note
  • Values that you specify in this dialog must not contain spaces.
  • When you select DC Sweep in the Analysis Conditions dialog, the AC Sweep and Transient items are made unavailable.

DC Analysis 1, DC Analysis 1, and DC Analysis 3 Tabs

You can specify values in each tab to provide three separate voltage sources for DC analysis.

Item   Description
Sweep target   Enter an independent source value. You could enter the specified source, element variable, device parameter or temperature, etc. You do not need to define the initial value of the sweep target in the Parameter dialog.
Linear   Analysis is performed from a sweep start value to a sweep end value by splitting using the specified step value.
Start Sets the sweep start value. Enter a positive or negative value.
Stop Sets the sweep end value. Enter a positive or negative value.
  Step Input the sweep variation.
  • If START < STOP, then STEP > 0
  • If START > STOP, then STEP < 0.
Decade   Analysis is performed from a sweep start value by splitting using the specified number of points on a decade basis.
Start Input a sweep start value.
Stop Input a sweep end value.
Points per decade Input the number of points per decade.
Octave   Analysis is performed from a sweep start value by splitting using the specified number of points on an octave basis.
Start Input a sweep start value.
Stop Input a sweep end value.
Points per octave Input the number of points per octave.
List   Specify the required voltage values as a list, with a separate value on each row. The list of values do not have to form a regular pattern. There is no limit to the number of values that you can specify.
OK   Saves the specified settings to the  to the SPICE Controller Manager, and closes the dialog.
Cancel   Closes the dialog without saving any unsaved changes.
Apply   Saves the specified settings to the SPICE Controller Manager. The dialog remains open.
